Tyler was super helpful with my purchase. He took the time to appraise the goggles I already had and gave me an estimated trade in value. Though a fair price for a buiness that needs to be profitable I ended up passing on the trade in and decided to keep them as a backup pair. We all know how hard it is to find friends locally who have the means to go night shooting, so why not use them to introduce more shooters to the thrill of it while we live in a somewhat normal world with good product availability.

Tyler also went over my two top picks, the PVS-31 and the BNVD-1531. We talked through tube specs and the pros and cons of each system. I ultimately went with the 1531s because they aren't much heavier than the 31s, and they offer focus on the ocular lenses, which I think will matter down the road as my eyes age.

I'll be coming back to Steele for more NV products. For my next purchase I'm thinking about a Skeetir thermal. I used one in Afghanistan around 2012 when Trijicon was testing them, and I'd love to see Steele add it to their inventory. It's pricey, but I think it's the best micro thermal on the market, and it would round out the other premium offerings in their NV lineup.

Steele goes above and beyond with their customer service. It's a true white-glove experience. They'll work with you to find exactly what you want, and when the time is right, they'll be ready. Another standout is their in-house 10-year warranty on their night vision products. From what I've gathered, they're an American company that does its work in-house and keeps a tight crew.

As the owner of a small family and veteran owned residential backup generator business in Austin, TX, I can say there's no other company I'd rather work with for the products Steele specializes in. I see the same core values in them: a company that stands behind what they say and advertise.
